The Sullivan Munce Cultural Center is a cultural institution and landmark in Zionsville, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. The Center is a community vortex for all things creative. It is comprised of exhibition galleries, an art center, a genealogical library, a comprehensive program of art classes and camps and a section dedicated to keeping alive the history of Zionsville.
The Sullivan Munce Cultural Center organizes frequent special Zionsville events that bring the creative local community and other nearby cities in Indiana together, and offer them a home and jumping off place for their artistic wanderings. This cultural magnet provides a great service to the Zionsville society and, indeed, the community and culture of Indianapolis and its environs, by maintaining an active venue for those who love the arts, history and genealogy.
The Center was founded in 1981. Its mission is to promote and present the arts in Boone, Hendricks, Hamilton and Marion counties. It presents and sells works or art from the regional and local community in six professional and two community art shows each year. In addition, the Sullivan Munce Art Center offers art instruction and summer camps for Zionsville kids ages seven to twelve.
