A 3.5 mile trail, the Zionsville Rail Trail is well equipped for biking, rollerblading, and hiking. The rail trail is located on an old railway line and takes visitors upwards through a massive boardwalk that spans Eagle Creek, the creek that eventually flows into Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. The Zionsville Rail Trail begins at Starkey Nature Park; from there is passes through Boone County and proceeds through an old growth forest before taking a tunnel under a road on the outskirts of Zionsville, eventually leading hikers into residential neighborhoods.
