Wolf Run Golf Club: Ahead of the Pack

Wolf Run Golf Club is considered to be one of the premiere Indiana golf courses. Located just on the north boundary of Indianapolis in Zionsville, Indiana, the course is within easy access to downtown Indianapolis as well as some of the fastest-growing suburbs, such as Fishers and Carmel.

The late Dr. Jack Leer first conceived the idea of the Wolf Run Golf Club in the early 1980’s, and construction began on the 218-acre site in 1987. Dr. Leer was a local dentist and amateur golfer. His dream was to build a state-of-the-art facility and club for golf lovers in and around Indy.

Indiana University – Purdue University (IUPUI) men’s and women’s golf teams regularly call the course home for their practice sessions and tournaments. Especially notable is the fact that Wolf Run Golf Club is ranked annually with Golf Week and Golf Digest for being one of the Best Modern Courses. The 7,195-yard, par 71 course is rated at 74.2 with a slope of 143.

Classic in design, the course is tree-lined and contains numerous elevation changes throughout. Wolf Run Golf Club is considered to be one of the Indianapolis’ premiere courses, and is located far away from any houses or other scenic disruptions. The course boasts a challenging game through narrow fairways, and greens smaller and faster than its counterparts. Sand traps and the winding Eagle Creek also make frequent appearances throughout the property. Wolf Run Golf Club is the perfect challenge for any Indianapolis sports fan.

A full-service clubhouse and on-site dormitories make Wolf Run Golf Club an ideal meeting and boarding location for Indiana college tournaments. Located in Zionsville, Indiana at 601 S 900E, the course currently only caters to club members. Inquiries may be made by calling (317)769-5260.
